01 Overview

This innovative solution significantly improves the Coefficient of Performance (COP), enabling CO₂ systems to compete with traditional HFC systems, even in high-temperature environments. Operating at a maximum pressure of 2030 psig (140 bar) and within a wide temperature range from -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F), the CTM 6 handles a mass flow up to 2875 kg/h (6338 lb/h). Its durable aluminum alloy body, brass ejectors, and stainless-steel connections ensure long-lasting performance. By eliminating the “CO₂ equator,” this solution offers reduced energy consumption, making CO₂ refrigeration systems both sustainable and cost-effective, without sacrificing reliability or efficiency. Perfect for businesses aiming to achieve environmental goals while optimizing performance.

01

Functionality and Design

The CTM 6 High-Pressure Valve is specifically engineered for CO2 (R744) systems with parallel compression. It plays a crucial role by lifting a portion of the gas from the medium-temperature (MT) suction and blending it with the gas cooler output at medium pressure. This innovative process optimizes system efficiency, enabling better performance compared to traditional parallel compressor setups. Additionally, the solution makes CO2 systems viable in high-temperature regions, effectively removing the “CO2 equator” limitation.
